CHICAGO, IL – It’s been six months since Ward opened its 22nd service center in Chicago, Illinois, and to say things are rolling would be a passive-voice description to what some would describe as “crushing it.” That’s due to providing our Chicagoland customers with competitive pricing, industry-leading transit times, and service ratios (on-time/claims) to and from our direct footprint in the Mid-Atlantic.
How does Ward do it? “It’s with engaged and experienced employees committed to service excellence while serving 80% of the commerce in Illinois,” says Dan Gatta, Director of Operations. It didn’t take long for the ONE WARD mentality to take a grip on the daily operations of Ward’s furthest West service center. It was evident before the Ward Chicago service center opened that everyone was “all in” and ready to do whatever was needed to produce a top-tier Chicagoland service.
Under President Bill Ward Jr’s direction, one thing has become clear—Ward is very good at opening a new service center. This is a good thing because it looks like this is nowhere close to the last one!
Ward’s extensive network offers an entire catalog of logistics solutions to/from Chicagoland that includes more than just LTL. Click the links below for more information regarding these services:
Ward also offers a nationwide LTL solution. This is the Ward Nation service which offers a one-point-of-contact, one invoice, and seamless tracking to all parts of the United states, including Hawaii and Guam.
