The recent state of the transportation industry has revealed that top talent and experience are paramount for maintaining and growing the profitability of trucking and logistics companies—especially one which is currently expanding its direct footprint.

This is why we are excited to announce that David Meyer has joined the brass of Ward as Executive Vice President. David has both the talent and experience President Bill Ward, Jr. desired to add to the team. “I am thrilled to have David join the ONE WARD Team. David’s initial task will be leading a growing data analytics team. “The key to data analytics is determining what the data tells you about your business and developing the next strategic developments.”

David started his career with Overnite (which became UPS Freight and eventually TForce Freight). Along with learning how to navigate and adapt to different business cultures, he gained experience in customer service, pricing, sales operations, strategic development, data analytics, and marketing.

After 30 years with basically the same company, many were surprised to see David make the move to Ward. “I had an amazing career and am proud to close that chapter of my life.  Ward’s hunger for growth and expansion made this the perfect choice for the next chapter of my career.  I can’t wait to get started!”
